Intro

There are lot of ways out there that teach you how to study, memorize, and understand various subjects. However, not all of them make you smart or even get you the perfect scores. Thus, you have to find the perfect way to study effectively.

In my opinion, flash cards are the easiest way to memorize things, especially vocabularies. Because as you flip through those cards, your brain gets flashed at least the number you flipped. Thus, this will make your brain to memorize the word without much effort.

Although flash cards are effective, it might depend on how you study those. Since time is gold, you don’t want to spend too much time on what you’ve already known. Therefore, to study efficiently, asking smart people how to study is another way to get informed because they have their own skills of flipping flashcards. :P

How to Study by Using Manual Flash Cards

Flip’em! Flip as many times as possible. Flash cards are good because you can always come back what you’ve already excluded as hard ones.

Let’s say there are 500 flash cards that you have to memorize. At first, you want to divide them up into 100 stacks each, making five stack (It doesn’t matter how you want to separate the stacks).

Now, choose one stack and start memorizing. While you memorize, get rid of the cards that you already memorized.

But if you have any small piece of doubt about the information, keep it.

Then, Flip those cards until you get rid of everything in one stack. Now, you have accomplished 20%.

Do the same thing with other 4 stacks until you memorize them all.

It’s not done yet. Since human brain, if not used, forgets information, you have to repeat. Thus, if you have a test or any exams that are not far away, do the same steps before you go to take the test. However, this time, you won’t take 5 hours to complete those flash cards because you’ve memorized them before!

Study by Using Flash Card Software

Technology gives us so much. Even in education, just flipping the textbook and keeping notes with pen already passed a decade ago. Now, people use laptops to take notes and use portable hard drives to keep information that’re more than amount of hundreds of textbooks. To the point, why don’t you use easy and fast method to study when there’s not even enough time to take a lunch break.

There are probably hundreds and thousands of softwares and programs that are educational. However, many out of those programs are not free, hard to operate, too old, or sometimes not even a real product.

Thus, I chose one program to show as an example; it is called a CueCard. I think this program is the simplest but strong enough to educate you if you put time to it. Moreover, it is easy to use, can change font styles, can import and export data from Microsoft Office Excel. Click here to download.

Now, start studying!

Conclusion

The method of studying, in my opinion, is important. Although you can choose whatever method you want, I suggest the method that you feel really comfortable and less time consuming. Thus, I suggest you to use flash cards for memorization. Because flash cards aid you to repeat the information, you can easily memorize them without much effort. Moreover, use softwares if you can, so you don’t have to spend too much time on cutting and writing the flash cards.

However, the choice is yours.
